Your Daddy’s Sacrifice

Your Daddy’s Sacrifice

I wrote this song, after viewing a movie, set during WWII, about this plot.

So many members of my family have served in the armed forces, and we are so lucky that they came home. What about the ones who served and didn’t come home? This song is about them, and their families, and about lives forever changed.

I am so in awe of those who serve. Thank you for what you have sacrified for us. Freedom is not free.

On a side note….this is the time of my life where I need to share my music out in the world. It’s time to take it out of the desk drawer and put it out there, and I have mentioned in an earlier blog post about this phase being  a little scary (putting yourself on the line, subjecting yourself to judgment, etc). Everyone has been so welcoming and nice. It rather restores your faith in humanity, that friends and strangers have shown such kindness. Thank you.
