Famous…or not

Famous...or not cover small

It’s here. It’s arrived!

Famous…or not is in print. It is available as a Kindle ebook.

Today and tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday), it is a free ebook. Totally free. (Make sure it says Kindle price: 0.00. Since the Amazon Prime price is also 0.00, it can be confusing.)

Don’t have a Kindle? No problem. There is a great software (also free) called Kindle for PC.

_Famous…or not_ is published under my ‘chic lit’ pen name, LeAnn Coston.

I find it easier on the readers if my books are organized by category, so… the different pen names represent the different categories.

Blurb:

So, imagine this:

You’re sitting in your backyard, in middle-America, and you hear a noise. You look up. The Sexiest Man in the Universe hops over your privacy fence and runs across your yard. After a few seconds, about seven or eight paparazzi hop the fence and follow him. Now, that’s something you just don’t see everyday in Oklahoma.

As the commotion continues and dogs start barking, you can hear the chase going all through your neighbors yards. Finally, it quiets down again, and you look back at the magazine you were reading–the celebrity magazine showing the cover picture of the Sexiest Man in the Universe.

After a bit, you hear a noise, and Mr. Sexiest Man hops the fence-again! You realize he’s probably only eluding paparazzi, but part of you hopes he came around to see you just one more time. You nod at the open door to the lawn mower shed. He ducks inside. The paparazzi hop the fence again, but you tell them their prey has eluded them. With disgust, they walk down your driveway and leave.

So, with wry amusement, you walk across your own backyard to your lawnmower shed, where the Sexiest Man in the Universe happens to be hiding.

Even if this was the movies, meet-cutes don’t get any better than this.

When I participated in The Next Big Thing Blog Hop (January 16, 2013 blog entry), one of the questions was about the inspiration for this book. Well, I soooo can see this book as a movie. I want to adapt it to a screenplay, then film it ourselves. That is a tall order. I’ll put that dream on the “someday” list. But, my “somedays” seem to keep happening, so who knows what the future brings?

Paperback and other formats coming soon. (It was all I could do to pull this off as an ebook so far. The book was already written in 2009. I pulled out the manuscript in November or so, thinking I could output this book in about 6 weeks. Well, now it’s 3  1/2 months later! Whew! These things always, always take longer than you think they will. Oh well. If it was easy, wouldn’t everybody be doing it? Why, in the world, do I put myself thru this and take on these projects? Argh!)

Thank you so much! I really appeciate you taking the time to congratulate me. It can be scary out there. You create a piece of work, then you fling it out into the universe. But, our culture thrives on negativity and critism. To lay youself open to that? I don’t care how tough you are, or how much of a thick skin you have, it’s daunting.

So, thank you, and best wishes in all of your work.
      Have a lovely day!

I found your book on Amazon yesterday and I’ve already finished it. Thank you for publishing it as free e-book, it’s unusual to find such high quality on the free list.

I enjoyed reading it very much and it left me with a smile on my face. Good luck with making it into a movie, I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Wow, thank you for your kindness. Thanks for taking the time to comment, and thanks for saying such nice things about the book.

The free promotional tool has been a good way to “boost” visibility. So, I’m happy to provide the book free for a few days, because then more people have been exposed to it. They may buy other titles, or tell their friends about it.

      Blessings to you!
      Thanks so very much.
